*non-halal, *sponsored review

Burger joints have been popping up all over the place the past few months and Go! Burger’s one of the newer ones to hit the burger scene. Living in SS15, I’ve had my fair share of burgers – good and bad, and since there was a momentary lull in my papers (the next one’s next week!), thanks to Foodinator I decided to give Go! Burger a try! Open-mouthed smile

Located on the first floor, it may be a little hard to find, but if you’re facing the SkyBar, just walk along that row and the stairs shouldn’t be too hard to miss. Winking smile

This is Rao, the executive chef & founder of Go! Burger, who is one of the most enthusiastic people I have ever met. His commitment and passion for this eatery can be seen in the way he personally greets his customers and takes the time out to ask them for their feedback (and play with their kids, heehee Open-mouthed smile) The best thing about owners with this kind of passion is that you’re sure that the burger you want is the burger you’ll get, and even if it isn’t, this one month old restaurant will strive to make it the best for you! Let’s cut to the chase, shall we?

Look at that glorious cross section!

With two 4oz pork patties, double cheese, and double bacon, this is definitely a burger that can fill you up. I pretty much had to deconstruct the burger to fit it in my mouth! Because we took much too long taking pictures of the food, by the time we actually dug into it, it was no longer piping hot. However, someone once told me that when food is good, you’d know even when it’s cold.

The patties were flavourful and moist, but borderline too salty as I found myself getting thirsty after a few bites. I liked the flavour and found it different than the other pork burgers I’ve had. Worth a buy if you wanna have a mouthful of porky goodness, but I’d ask for a little more lettuce to even out the saltiness if I were you!

I’m a horrible blogger and cannot remember what this burger is called (or its price), so.. pick out the one with Pringles in it!

Yes, Pringles!

A surprisingly good combination with the burger, the Pringles softened with the cheese and it was like taking a bite of nachos + burger all at once. The sausage tasted amazing and this was my favourite one of the night.

I also forgot what this burger was called (bad Tiffany, baaad) but everyone at my table loved it.. except me.

It was a burger with spinach and mustard, and whilst I thought that the spinach ruined the burger, the other Foodinator bloggers found it a surprisingly nice twist. Meh, bear in mind though that I have a general aversion to vegetables, and I’m pretty sure this would be a burger my mom would love.

Spinach aside, the meat was once again tender and flavourful, and for some reason, mustard didn’t ruin it for me. I normally cannot stand any burgers with mustard so it’s either they’re using a different kind of mustard, or they’ve found the perfect way to not overwhelm the burger with it.

Go! Wings @ RM13.90

If I had to name one thing that really disappointed me, it would be their wings. Whilst the serving was generous, the chicken was chewy and the texture was really weird. I don’t know if they tried to fry the wings first, but there was a really odd flour-y taste to it as well. We suspect that the wings are a day old or something and they tried recooking it again? I would just stay far far away from the wings and stick to the burgers. >.<

Their fries weren’t particularly special, but were oh-so-very addictive! This is coming from someone who normally won’t touch my fries but I found myself reaching for them throughout the night, accompanied by mustard, which I also wouldn’t have normally touched. I don’t know why, but the mustard + fries combo tasted great together so do give it a try!!

And to those who can’t seem to find authentic Coca Cola bottles, Go! Burger sells them in their rustic, classic glory! Open-mouthed smile Open-mouthed smile Open-mouthed smile Open-mouthed smile

And a note, the restaurant serves Fatbaby icecream and all kinds of coffee, so if coffee + burgers is your kinda heaven (eek!), you know where to get em. Smile
