MaiU, Damansara Perdana

Saturday, September 8, 2012

Brought the family sans my father to MaiU the other day for a treat and left with bloated tummies and happy smiles.

MaiU’s a Japanese ala carte buffet place that’s roughly RM45 per person after tax, where you basically order as much as you want over and over again for as long as the buffet period lasts.

For a buffet with an endless stream of sashimi and soft shell crab, the food is actually really good! The cawanmushi is ridiculously smooth and sweet and the tofu steak is amazing!

And one HAS to try their hand rolls! Their hand rolls are so asdasjdasjdoiadjoij, I’m not even joking! The lauk doesn’t just sit at the top, it goes from the top and runs all the way to the bottom, and they have crispy bits in it too to give it an added crunch!

My only disappointment with the food would have to be the crunchy (or crispy?) salmon maki. It felt like a chore to eat because the crispy bits had gone all soggy and basically it tasted as though it had been sitting there for a while. Sad smile

Don’t just take my word for it, go go go!

They’re open everyday at these times:
11:30 am - 2:30 pm
6:00 pm - 10:30 pm

The address:
Maiu Damansara Perdana
G-3A, The Place, Jalan PJU 8/5D,
Bdr D’sara Perdana.
47820 Petaling Jaya.

They have another branch in Sri Petaling but I have never been there before so can’t vouch for it. Should be the same though.Smile

And um.. Here are photographs of my family.

And a gif too!! Open-mouthed smile
